IRVINE, Calif. — Jay A. Bormann, President of the Guide Dogs of America, is dedicated to the continuing work of founder Joseph Jones Sr., who became blind when he was only 57 years old and decided his mobility needs would best be met by using a guide dog.
“We enjoy our work and are grateful for the generous and thoughtful support we receive that makes it possible for us to change the lives of so many visually impaired men and women,” said Jay A. Bormann President of the Guide Dogs of America.
There will be 280 golfers in attendance to support the continued effort of the Guide Dogs of America which provides specially trained guide dogs to blind men and women, free of charge, for the past 60 years.
Funds raised will go to the $38,000 cost of providing a guide dog to visually impaired individuals who would like to live a life more independently and be better able to pursue their goals with the loving partnership of a guide dog.
