Warrior Golf has purchased Broadmoor Golf Links, the second WNC layout the California-based company has bought in the last eight months.
Broadmoor Group Inc., sold the 18-hole public course and clubhouse to Warrior Golf Properties LLC in a deal that closed Friday for $3.8 million, according to the Henderson County Register of Deeds.
Warrior purchased Reems Creek GC in Weaverville in August 2009 for $1.9 million.
“Warrior approached us with a plan to partner on a golf course with Reems Creek, and with our partners well into retirement ages, we thought this was the right time to wrap up the Broadmoor project,” said managing partner Brett Miller, who has operated the popular course for 12 years.
“Warrior has a great business model to access public-fee courses for the middle-class golfer, and I think players in our area are going to see some very attractive packages with Broadmoor and Reems Creek.”
Miller said Warrior plans no major changes at Broadmoor, which hosted about 30,000 rounds last year, and that the company will retain all current employees.
